Elizabeth Jackson and Jennifer Lee, P4 students at the Skaggs School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences were declared winners of the 17th Annual Clinical Skills Competition at the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists meeting held in Las Vegas. This year’s competition, the largest ever, featured two person teams from 120 pharmacy schools demonstrating their patient care and problem solving skills. The competition goes through several rounds of elimination where the teams are expected to demonstrate their systematic approach to the therapeutic needs of specific patient in designed cases. The ten highest-scoring teams competed in front of the expert panel of judges where their therapeutic recommendations had to be justified.
